Psalm 16:11 (ESV) You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy
Joy is one of the fruits of the Spirit; it is expected of Christians because it is the natural result of having received salvation. The joy comes on account of what Christ has done, irrelevant of whatever other circumstances are happening in one’s life
Joy is an inward hope and exuberance in spite of outward circumstances. Joy differs from happiness, which relies on favorable circumstances
Joy comes when we are aware of God’s grace and relish His favor.
Our joy should rise above our circumstances & is founded in belief in Jesus Christ
